Stainless steel 316
Belonging to series 300 as well SS 316 has the same contents however with a slight difference. The chromium is between 16.5-18.5%, Carbon is 0.07%, Nickel is 10-13%, Molybdenum is 2-2.5%. The Ultimate Tensile Strength is 50000-70000 MPa at 20°C, and the Yielding Strength is 20000 MPa at 20°C.
The Molybdenum content in SS316 is more than 304 so that makes it much more resistant to pitting and corrosion and the fluctuating temperature would have no effects on SS 316. The SS 304 and SS 316 can be the same in appearance but have their respective differences in composition.
Round Bars
Stainless Steel 316 Round Bars have the size of 5mm to 500mm with the diameter ranging from 0.1mm to 100mm and length can be from 100mm to 1300mm and beyond. The general shape of bars is Round Bars, Square Bars, Flat Bars, Threaded Bars, Hollow Bars, Hexagonal Bars, Triangular Bars.
